Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote has agreed to feature on the YouTube show Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by content creator Adebayo Ridwan (Isbae U).

The commitment was made on October 19 during an interactive session with Nigerian creatives at the Dangote Refinery in Lagos. Isbae U pitched the appearance by pointing out that Dangote's typical media interviews are hosted on platforms rarely watched by younger demographics. The content creator emphasized that young Nigerians are highly interested in Dangote's enterprises and want to learn about investment opportunities, including the company's planned initial public offering. Pointing to his previous interview with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Isbae U argued that his platform bridges the gap between prominent figures and the youth.

Accepting the invitation, Dangote acknowledged the need to shift his media focus toward younger audiences, whom he described as the future of the continent. He conceded that his own generation has “not really done very well for Nigeria and also for Africa,” stressing the importance of older leaders sharing their historical and business experiences directly with the youth.

Dangote also reflected on his own past—recalling how he and his grandfather sought photographs with prominent figures in Washington—to explain his appreciation for the young Nigerians who frequently approach him during his international travels. While a specific date for the interview has not yet been scheduled, the discussion is expected to center on Dangote’s entrepreneurial journey and the development of his industrial empire.
